ACCURACY CHARTS

If you are not familiar with graphs,  the best way to look at the following charts is to consider that they are a fertiliser deposit diagram. That is,  the base line represents the ground and the distance between the base line and the wavering line is the depth of material deposited at that point. Now, if you consider the depth of fertiliser required at a point is 100 Kg/Ha,  then the charts now show the actual application rate at that point and the maximum variation on the top right is the maximum Kg/Ha variation of wavering line above and below the required 100 Kg/Ha. To convert charts to 200 Kg/Ha multiply by 2, to 50 Kg/Ha divide by 2.

Ground Coverage Charts

These charts show the actual ground coverage for three (3) row spacings that are around half (1/2) of the maximum row spacing (chart 4) for both De-luxe and Standard models. On studying the charts,  you will notice the single pass accuracy for the new De-luxe model is more accurate than the Standard model and if working with a 50% overlap there is little difference. The 50% overlap accuracies are very easy to achieve, a good eye is about all that is needed to get under 10%, whereas,  the single pass accuracy requires tests and adjustments to be made.Charts are for a uniform granulated superphosphate.   Non-uniform granulated products only change accuracy of ground cover by around 2.5%.   Lighter products do not change accuracy,  only reduce the effective cover for a given spinner speed.

Horizontal scale is in feet (10 Ft = 3m) and vertical scale is percent of required application deposited at that point on the crop.

Single pass ground coverage

This chart shows the quantity of fertiliser deposited on the ground for a correctly set Deluxe model.   (Vertical scale is in grams per square foot and horizontal scale in feet).

Why these single spinner machines are accurate
Accuracy is achieved by feeding a large, slow and very efficient five (5) bladed deep dished spinner at two (2) points.  In other words, two spinners in one.
